COMMUNITY

Sissons Paints has always been active in the community, and our paints adorn not only private homes but major public buildings in Trinidad, and throughout the Caribbean. We invite you to take a look at Sissons Paints, at work, in your community.

Prominent Buildings

Sissons Paints have been used on thousands of buildings throughout Trinidad & Tobago, and the Caribbean. We are proud to say our paints grace the walls of some of the most famous buildings in the Eastern Caribbean.

Take a look at some of the buildings on which Sissons paints have been used.

Red House

Another of the 'Magnificent Seven', the Red House was originally built in 1848. After a destructive fire in Port of Spain in 1903 the Red House was rebuilt in 1906. The Red House is Seat of Parliament, standing proudly in the heart of downtown Port of Spain.

The deep red of the building is said to symbolise the vitality of Trinidad and it's peoples, and their warmth and energy.

Sissons Paints is proud to decorate this magnificent structure, a symbol of our national pride.

White Hall

Originally constructed in 1904, the recently refurbished (early 1999) White Hall is the office of the Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago. The building, situated at the northwestern end of the Queen's Park Savannah, is one of a group of structures lining the western end of the Savannah, dubbed the 'Magnificent Seven' for their stately and unique architecture.

In the past, White Hall has been used by the British Council, the Trinidad Art Society and the Central Library. Sissons Paints bring to life the pristine beauty of this architectural masterpiece.

Count Lopinot's House

Lopinot is a rural village situated in a valley north of Arouca. The village is named after Compte de Lopinot, a Frenchman who came to Trinidad in 1806. He settled with his family and 100 slaves on 400 acres of land, granted to him by for services rendered to the British Crown. Count Lopinot contributed to the development of cocoa estates in Trinidad.

The Great House was recently renovated and repainted by the Tourism Board, and now houses a museum open to the public. Lopinot is a very popular historic site in Trinidad.
